FDA Announces Another Romaine Lettuce Recall
USAgNet - 11/30/2020

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that Tanimura & Antle Inc., a Salinas, California-based produce company, voluntarily recalled single-head romaine lettuce due to possible E.coli contamination. Now, the FDA is revealing that Dole Fresh Vegetables is also voluntarily recalling organic romaine lettuce hearts because of a possible risk of E. coli.

The impacted products were distributed in the following states: Arizona, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, and Virginia.

The lettuce was harvested and packed approximately four weeks ago, so they should no longer be on store shelves. The voluntary recall does not apply to any bagged or clamshell salad romaine product.

At this time, no illnesses or hospitalizations have been linked to the recall.
