National & World Ag News Headlines Large Canadian Tractor & Combine Sales Up USAgNet - 03/15/2010 According to Association of Equipment Manufacturers monthly Flash Report, the sales of all tractors in Canada for February 2010 were down 20.1% compared to the same month last year. For the year 2010, a total of 1,986 tractors were sold, which compares to 2,198 sold through February 2009. For the month, two-wheel-drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 29.6%, and 40+ HP were down 24.9% from last year. Sales of 100+ HP two-wheel-drive tractors were up 6.8% from year-ago. Four-wheel drive tractors were down 15.3% for the month. For the year 2009, two-wheel-drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 16.4% from last year, 40+ HP were down 12.3%, and those 100+ HP were up 12.4%. Sales of four-wheel-drive tractors were 13.3% through February 2010. Combine sales were up 10.1% for the month.
