Indiana Farmers Union United Hosts Convention
Indiana Ag Connection - 11/09/2018
Indiana Farmers Union's Annual Convention was held at Joseph Decuis Wagyu Farm in Columbia City.
The free event included a food safety workshop, made possible by a Local Food Safety Collaborative grant awarded to Indiana Farmers Union, as well as a farm tour and several discussion-led sessions regarding industrial hemp and the dairy crisis.
Wisconsin Farmers Union State President Darin VonRuden spoke to the 40 members in attendance and provided additional insight to the national crisis. Greg Gunthorp, a fourth-generation pig farmer, owner of Gunthorp Farms in LaGrange, Ind., and a
nationally known advocate and speaker, delivered the day's keynote speech.
