LARE Applications Due Jan. 15
Indiana Ag Connection - 12/03/2019
The deadline for submitting Lake and River Enhancement (LARE) applications has changed to Jan. 15, which differs from the date from previous years.
The LARE program strives to protect and enhance aquatic habitat for fish and wildlife while ensuring the continued viability of Indiana's publicly accessible lakes, rivers, and streams. The program accomplishes this through measures that reduce
non-point sediment and nutrient pollution.
Technical and financial assistance for qualifying projects are provided to applicants through the LARE program. Qualifying projects may include logjam removal, streambank stabilization, and wetland creation. To view a full list of qualifying project
types, along with additional information about LARE, see lare.dnr.IN.gov.
To learn more about the requirements of project applications or to submit a project application for LARE assistance, see wildlife.IN.gov/3302.htm.
Applications may be completed and submitted electronically.
