Lt. Governor to Present Paul Dana Award, Host 'Celebrate Indiana Ag'

Lt. Governor Becky Skillman will honor forward thinking biofuels pioneers at the Paul Dana Leadership in Biofuels Award ceremony on Friday at 8:30 a.m. at the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand Side Lot on
Main Street at the Indiana State Fair. The Paul Dana Leadership in Biofuels Award will be given in honor and memory of race car driver Paul Dana, a strong supporter of biofuels. The award recipients are
those who have exemplified leadership in the biofuels industry.
Next week Friday, Aug. 13, Skillman and Acting Indiana Agriculture Director Ken Klemme will host the Celebration of Indiana Agriculture event to honor the importance of agriculture and reflect on the past
year. It begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Normandy Barn at the Indiana State Fair. During this time, Skillman will highlight the accomplishments of Indiana's agriculture industry and receive feedback from industry
members. The highlight of this event will be the presentation of the 2008 AgriVision Award to a Hoosier who has displayed a deep commitment and vision for Indiana agriculture.
"2008 has been a historic year. Our state has seen tremendous success and challenges in agriculture," said Acting Indiana Agriculture Director Ken Klemme. "This event is an opportunity to honor the strength
of Indiana agriculture and recognize the innovation and new business approaches that keep it strong."
