American Agri-Women Announces Mahindra as Legacy Partner
Indiana Ag Connection - 07/29/2016

American Agri-Women (AAW) announces that Mahindra North America is now a Legacy Partner, supporting the organization in a variety of initiatives including the "Mahindra Pride Daughters of Agriculture" scholarships and member appreciation programs. A Legacy Partner is the highest level of commitment to AAW's programs.

AAW is the nation's largest coalition of farm, ranch and agri-business women, with more than 50 state, commodity and agri-business affiliate organizations. Mahindra is the number one selling tractor company in the world based on volume.

"We are pleased to expand our continued support for women in ag through this partnership with American Agri-Women. A pillar of our Rise philosophy is driving positive change and supporting the development of the industry's women leaders of tomorrow through the Mahindra Pride scholarships is vitally important to Mahindra," says Cleo Franklin, Mahindra's Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Planning.

"In recognition of the important role women play in farming and agri-business, as well as AAW's leadership and service in the industry, we are pleased to offer appreciation programs exclusively for AAW members and their families. We look forward to an enduring partnership with AAW," Franklin says.

"We are grateful for Mahindra's generous support of AAW. The scholarship program is just one way that Mahindra is ensuring a bright future for women in agriculture. We look forward to the many opportunities ahead as we continue to find new ways to work together," says AAW President Doris Mold. Mold owns and operates a dairy farm in Wisconsin with her family and is a farm management consultant and educator.

Through Mahindra's support, five $1,000 scholarships for the 2017 spring semester will be awarded. The scholarships are open to any farm, ranch or agri-business woman or her daughter to pursue accredited courses in agriculture, agribusiness, leadership, communications, rural sociology, medicine or any other courses directly related to agriculture. The application can be found at www.americanagriwomen.org, under the AAW Foundation tab. Applications must be received by Sept. 1.

Mahindra North America (MNA) is part of the US $17.8 billion Mahindra Group's Automotive and Farm Sector - the number one selling tractor company in the world, based on volumes and the only tractor manufacturer in the world to win the industry's top two quality awards -- the Deming Application Prize and the Japan Quality Medal, care of Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers.
