Indiana Ag News Headlines St. Joseph SWCD Offers Free Cover Crop Information Indiana Ag Connection - 07/30/2010 The St. Joseph County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is pleased to announce a free information and discussion session on planting cover crops in northern Indiana. This event will be held on Aug. 12 from 5-7 p.m. at the St. Joseph County Farm Bureau Meeting Room located at 5605 US 31 S, South Bend IN. This session will feature Jamie Scott from J.A. Scott Farms to lead the discussion and answer technical questions about the specific methods of planting cover crops. Jamie Scott has been using cover crops on his own farm in Kosciusko County for a number of years with great success. This session is ideal for area farmers who are interested in planting cover crops on their farms this fall. This event is being sponsored as part of the St. Joseph County SWCD's 2010 "Cover it Green" cover crop cost-share program.
