Madden Joins CountryMark Marketing Team

CountryMark announced that Rick Madden of Boonville, Ind, has joined CountryMark as a business development manager.

In his new position, Madden will work with CountryMark member cooperatives in southern Indiana to develop and implement CountryMark's energy products business strategy. The cooperatives in his territory will include Jackson-Jennings Co-op, Orange County Co-op, Premier Ag, SynEnergy and White River Co-op. In this role, Madden will provide technical expertise and leadership, assist in new market development and give direction to promotional programs.

"We're pleased to have Rick Madden join our staff," said CountryMark Sales Manager Steve Thomas. "Rick's experiences in sales program development, increasing market share, technical assistance, and customer service will be valuable to CountryMark and the customers he will serve."

Over the past 25 years, Madden has held numerous positions within the CountryMark cooperative system. Most recently, he served as petroleum sales manager for SynEnergy, a farmer-owned cooperative based out of Mt. Vernon, Ind. Prior to that, Madden served as petroleum department manager for Superior Ag Resources, based out of Huntingburg, Ind.; and petroleum department manager for Frontier Co-op, located in Lebanon, Ind.

Madden and his wife, Bambi, have four children.

CountryMark is a farmer-owned cooperative and is Indiana's only American-owned oil refining and marketing company. In addition to its corporate offices in Indianapolis, the company operates a refinery in Mount Vernon and terminal locations in Mount Vernon, Switz City, Jolietville, and Peru, Ind., as well as Henderson, Ky.
